CLEARING COBWEBS

You may be asking yourself why am I writing about cobwebs? It’s funny actually. As I write this, it’s close to Halloween. There are so many other topics I can cover, but this seems appropriate.

Personally, I do not like spiders and as you know they spin their webs in all kind of crazy places. If cobwebs pile up, it can look quite scary, can’t it? This time of year it all comes front and center such as cobwebs, brooms, ghosts and well, you get the idea.

I’ve already written about bats so we will leave them out of this blog. Spiders! I really do not like spiders; big, small; dead or alive. They may serve a purpose in the grand scheme of things but I don’t have to like them. Creepy, crawly, spooky too.

Halloween! It’s a crazy time of year with all the ghouls and goblins come out and I can hear Vincent Price’s voice in my head laughing! I recall going to trick or treat as a kid and we would be all decked out in our costumes and because we lived in the country, we had a chauffeur also known as Mom (ha ha ha). It was a blast carrying our plastic pumpkins or paper sacks to collect our treasures.

Now back to the cobwebs. I have had the not so great experience of running into one a few times that was hidden from view. Oh my where is the creator of this masterpiece? They are quite intricate and hard to brush off. Yuck!

I digressed again didn’t I? Anyway, another type of cobweb is in our minds and they are just as hard to get out of our way. My advice is to grab a broom, either mentally or physically and knock that rascal out before it grows bigger. Now get to clearing out your cobwebs! Happy hunting for the spider too.
